iPhone 7 Will Revolutionize Portable Audio for the First Time in a Decade

This thread has for some reason turned into a $9 dongle impressions thread....

But what do you all think of the iPhone 7/7+??? I'm quite happy with mine with the bundled in EarPods and my old Miles Davis Trumpets using said dongle.

I was about to upgrade my iPhone 6 to the 7 but I really don't like the home button. I think I'll stick with the 6 or maybe just move to the 6S for the force touch and faster processor.

Wow really? I wasn't sure at first but I actually quite like the new solid state home button. I've got the haptic feedback response setting for it set at its' highest setting and have really grown to like it!

It just felt odd, there's nothing wrong with my iPhone 6, it's 64Gb so plenty of room for music. I don't use the camera much, I'm careful with my phones (waterproofing) and it's got a headphone socket.

Not sure I see the value in upgrading to the 7 now

Same here. My iPhone 6 hardly feels old.

I would love to get the iPhone 7..as a present but not very keen on forking out 1000$ to get one.

I will try to hold back till Apple moves to the next design paradigm. But in the past i have not been very good at holding back :)

My method, I look at an iPhone and then think of a 50 inch 4K TV or new sofa. Puts things into perspective

I had the 6s plus and just got the 7 non plus. It's unbelievably faster than the 6s. Everything is so snap and responsive that I could not believe it. It's not the end of the world of course but it makes the every day operations and user's experience much much better. Also coming from the 6s plus I could not believe how much lighter and user friendly is the 4,7' phone. It's in your pocket but you don't feel it at all!! You keep it in your hand and feels like you hold nothing!! You can text with one hand etc. I think the 5,5' of Apple is too heavy and big, and since I do not care that much about the perfect photos the 4,7' seems OK to me.

And yes for now the solid state home button seems better from the older physical one, with haptic feedback at 2, which is not so hard feeling let's say.

The dongle sound is very good, kind of richer and clearer than the 6s plus HO and the earpods with lightning are feeling louder than the old Earpods.

This stuff does not help to hold back. Ya know?

Enjoy the 7!

The Qoobuz reveiw mirrors exactly my view on the dongle: shockingly good value for money.

Here is a link re from Qobuz re the Lightning 3.5mm jack adapter compatibility with 24-bit/192KHz audio output.     http://qob.uz/minijacken

Wow that's pretty interesting there! That damn $9 dongleberry is capable of outputting at 24/192!

Thanks!!

I know!!! I tried to hold back myself, but I couldn't, eventually!! I gave in...

But it's the first iphone which I consider a real, obvious and major upgrade in user's experience from its predecessor. To me the 6s was not that different from the 6, and thus I was always considering it a wrong buy from my side...I really loved the 5s and possibly now the 7!!

All the best!! Wishes to lovely Spain!!
