x2. Mine just arrived and the low volume control is remarkable. I can't wait to try the Pico Slim tomorrow morning. When I first wake up is when I listen extremely softly.

I'm using Volume Dial + replaygain/sound check (both tied in, via syncing with foobar and foo_dap) to control volume. Volume Dial doesn't have the greatest GUI, but it works, and free.

It's spendy, but this is one of the beauties of the PicoSlim amp - the volume attenuation goes down to -120db or something ridiculous, so you can listen impossibly softly through IEMs but still at a high quality.  It's the best implementation of this I've ever heard, and I've tried a dozen headphone amps.
