Introducing the T10i, an all new IEM from RHA

Aug 29, 2014 at 4:32 AM Post #47 of 613
Hi guys,

We're catching up on this thread this morning. As tjw321 pointed out, the GBP prices do include 20% VAT (sales tax) where the USD version does not, hence the pricing discrepancy of a direct conversion.

Thanks for all the feedback and questions so far! Glad to so you're excited to check them out. Is anyone planning to attend IFA? CanJam?

Get with the 21st century folks - mics are great for those of us who have lovely smartphones. Very snobbish and naive to think you can't get great sound from a phone these days.

Nobody said you can't get good sound from a smartphone.
I'm not sure why you feel so defensive about your over-priced telephone. *trololol*

The point is, mics add a lot of weight to already very light earphones, which makes them more likely to slip out when you're out and about due to the cable being more likely to pick up a swaying rhythm as you walk.

Ehhh...both my Shure and JH mic cables are fairly bulky but neither adds much weight.

Well it always depends on different factors like fit and how fast you walk...
I've probably just had rotten luck with IEMs, but mostly because I walk too fast and have the 'wrong' ear shape size

looks interesting.

I'd be interested though about the distortion across the audible frequency spectrum maybe in comparison with other single dynamic drivers such as Sennheisers IE80 / 800 and with / without the different filters. I am a bit sceptical about this IEM being suitable for all sound signatures with a change of a filter.

But why? Can't you live with a little mic block on the cable, like the rest of us? What makes you special?

i said it some where , i wanna save $20 for sure , why to pay for a thing you dont want .

I can't believe anyone would even care about there not being a non-mic version! Seriously, who wants less functionality rather than more?

Besides, It would probably cost more to make 2 different models, due to economies of scale, thus driving prices up.

And anyway, who knows whether you'll need that mic function in the future? You never know - you might find a smartphone in your hand one day, and take the plunge.... Or indeed want to sell the IEMs on - in which case, much easier to sell a mic'd version than a non-mic'd.

Dude.... relax....
there are plenty of people who don't want an in-line microphone... just take a leap of faith and believe.

So, RMAF Is in October. I know you will have so to audition, but will you also be selling them there?

Unfortunately it's unlikely that we'll be able to sell units at the show for reasons to do with sales tax, but we won't rule it out just yet - if we can find a way to make some available to purchase we will.
