At the very least I quite like the aesthetic on this one - at first glance thought it was a new Matrix Audio unit.

Can’t wait to try my Aful Performers on the SU-X!
Still needs an amp. I'd get my schiit figured out.

Then you can say your gear is "Aful, sux schiit."

Hi,

I currently own a product that also sports the ESS9039 Pro DAC.
All I can say is that this DAC is about the best thing I have ever heard.
It litterally squeezes every last drop of music juice out of your tracks...

So I can tell that this is probably going to be a must-have device

Regards.

Horizontal fins may look nice when clean but they are dust traps, especially for desktop applications. I always wondered why amplifier manufacturers, especially those of serious heat generating Class A designs do them instead of vertical ones.

Are they really needed for a DAC?

Doubt it. A design follie.

It's just for looks. There probably isn't anything on the fins, since their electronics are always PCB mounted.

So how will this sound on testing? Any reviewers willing to take the “SU-X” challenge?
