Hello, I'm looking for a good IEM all-rounder, because I listen to many styles of music, it should be able to handle the low, middle and high frequencies, but I would like to have a good bass because I also like to listen to house music, the IEM are used by the Sony Xperia 1 iv , as well as Tidal as a music source, the Iem should not cost more than 200 euros.
Maybe try the new MM-500

You should probably ask this question in an IEM forum or at least a thread even slightly related to IEM's. Instead of a very specific pre release thread on an over ear headphone. Start here; Good luck.

They probably meant within that price range. The marketing team got a bit overenthusiastic.
Well they should say so.

One could call it BS.

ps i don't have an issue audeze and much appreciate what i read on headfi re their customer service but statements like that, in my eyes, lose my respect. I’m not after a used car here

imho and just my 2c

Oh no, a company marketing department doing marketing things.

I'm attending the NAMM show tomorrow. I'll probably stop by the Audeze booth if they're not too busy and give the MM-500 a listen seeing as I'm really enjoying my 2021 LCD-X at home right now.

There's a YouTube video already from NAMM that shows the Audeze booth and the MM-500. They have it running from an RME ADI-2 of some flavor. Make sure if you listen to them using the ADI-2 that they haven't cheated and applied EQ. Make sure the EQ is off so you can hear what the headphones actually sound like.

I'm really curious what sonic signature Audeze did for the MM-500. Is the midrange close to Harman target like the LCD-5, or is it the classic Audeze target like the LCD-X.

Anyone have any ideas what the headband is made out of? Metal of some kind?

I have to write this as this stuff makes me wonder (as they say in the classics)……
I also wonder if there is context for this line on their website for this hp:

“the MM-500 produces unparalleled audio quality that other headphones can only dream of”.
And that is a quote from the website/marketing/offer proposition.

Is the lcd5 going out of production? Or is the lcd5 just inferior in audio quality. I guess no need for me to further consider the lcd 5.
And where does that put, for example, my susvaras?
Susvara and LCD5 are shot tier. Must buy god tier mm-500 lol. It is a little disconcerting that it seems to have better materials than the LCD5?

that they haven't cheated and applied EQ.

It's kind of well known, and almost a given really, that any Audeze headphone requires EQ to sound good. The only exception I've read is the 2021 LCD-X. But, yeah, listening to it without EQ is a good idea. Especially if you don't like to EQ.

As soon as I saw the new LCD-5 form factor I knew this was coming. Very cool.

From my experience with the LCD-X I can believe the marketing claims about being good to mix on.

These types of headphones are a technological breakthrough that allow people to mix anywhere in any room and for people like me to be able to have a nice reference without a treated symmetrical room or even a consistent room to throw a pair of monitors in.

I'm not in the market for these because of the LCD-X I have and am satisfied with, but it's nice to see this coming out. Tech advancements like these are good for all music listeners because engineers will be taking advantage of tools like these to move things forward.

Was at NAMM Show yesterday, spoke with a few members of the Audeze team about the MM 500.

Few details about the new MM 500 they shared with me. The MM 500 is single sided like the LCD-5 but the diaphragm, magnet structure and trace are different. The MM 500 uses the diaphragm of the LCD-X.

I asked if the MM 500 was like how the MX4 was like a combo of the LCD-X and LCD-4, was the MM 500 like a combo LCD-X and LCD-5 and they said no. The MM 500 is not attempting to fuse existing Audeze headphones but it was brought about with Manny's input.

They had a few pairs ready to demo at their booth with a few different setups. They also brought in a soundproof booth and inside was the MM 500/LCD-5 being powered off the Weiss DAC502. Plus the Crbn was in the booth as well.

Few pics I took with the MM 500 next to the LCD-5. Headband is metal and the cups is machined aluminum on the MM 500. Also solid leather vs the leather plus holes in the LCD-5.

Pads are indeed different from the LCD-5 pads. The LCD-5 needs a perfect seal whereas the MM 500 pads were chosen to maximize surface area. Sankar said the rationale was in a pro audio environment, the seal needs to be quick and consistent. Since the LCD-5 and MM 500 are a different size cup compared to existing LCD lineup, the pads on the MM 500 are little different from the other LCD pads but going from memory, resembled the LCD-X 2021 pads just resized.

And the soundproof booth with Manny inside rocking the MM 500.

Going with miceblue tomorrow again to the Show. Will check it out again.
