Introducing Shanling SM1.3 & NEW SMT1.3 - Hi-Fi Streamer DAC & Transport - Now Roon Ready

Good time of day.
There is a DAC, digital AES input, up to 32/192. It is necessary to play 32/384 files. Will SMT1.3 perform downsampling for transmission to my DAC? Without changing the other data listed below 32/192?
Or is it possible to set up only a general conversion for all file types?

For 384 kHz over coaxial, you would need to enable the upsampling system of SMT1.3 and set it to 192. Then it would work.

That's understandable. I figured it out. But after 384, I want to play 96 or 44, will they be 192 too?
I want them to be their own frequencies.

If you have set sampling to 192, they would all come as 192.

If you want to use such a wild range of sampling rates, we would have to recommend to choose output / input option that actually supports them. So ideally I2S or USB.

Hi @Shanling, do you have an idea when could be available the gapless in the SM1.3 firmware? I have bought this streamer and it is running very well, but the gapless is really important for several albums. Thanks in advance.
Gapless has been on the to-do list of our Android team since 2019.

We have no expected release date for that feature.

Hi @Shanling, do you have an idea which is better for toslink, 96 or 192, in cases with jitter. Both devices support 192.

Is the SMT 1.3 Roon ready also?

Will it play Tidal gapless as Roon endpopint?

Yes, Roon Playback should be gapless.

We recommend running at 192 kHz, but it's always best to try in person with your DAC, as it might differ. Some people prefer without upsampling.

Is the SMT 1.3 Roon ready also?

Finishing the process of certification on SMT1.3. But it can be enabled already for testing.
