Nevertheless: I confirm the great sound of the M6U!

TBH I have not tried via Android mode.
I like the fact that M6U is running in optimal for music playback with no Android services, etc. in the background.
That's just me!

"Worth it" depends on a lot of things. Is the m3u already doing everything you want and do you enjoy it? Then probably not. Do you find the m3u struggles to power a more demanding headphone? Is the screen just too small to be comfortable? Then it's probably worth it. Other considerations presumably drive other answers.

I would also say that if you have the money, you should also consider the M7.

I'm more interested in the warm sound of the Akm. I have xd05 pro (+ ess, Akm, rohm dac's) but somehow I don't feel the warmth of Akm.
I'm considering M8 but it has old Android 7.1.
Opamps I have sparkos dual and burson v5id.
I looked too Tempotec V6.

We always recommend running the latest firmware on our players.

And it's possible to downgrade firmware.

I have a leather case in which I carry my m6u. While listening music, it can reach a temperature of 43⁰C/110⁰F. I was thinking about buying a TPU case and cutting holes in the back for better ventilation.
Wearing on a lanyard around the neck.
Is that probably the best way?

Apple included this curious block in their latest V4.7.0 release. We reported it to our software team and they are working on a fix.

Meanwhile, we recommend to switch to V4.6.0 version of the app, which works without issue.
