Thanks I got it! But I have another question.. I logged into Tidal but can't see my user created playlists that I made with a 3rd party service that transferred my Spotify playlist to Tidal. It doesn't show up. Also, when in "Tracks" on tidal, I have over 1300 liked tracks but only shows first 50 and I have to keeps scrolling down and through the songs and then it's "loading" the songs onto the player and then it will shuffle through them all but every time I leave tracks I have to reload and redo this all again :(.

On 3rd party playlists, sorry, that's not something we can assist with, that part is operated by Tidal API side.

Thanks for your help! Yea I figured the 3rd party might not work since I used it to transfer my playlist. I have other playlists I liked from Tidal itself on desktop and that one shows on the player. For the track loading I'll just wait for updates and optimization :D. Thanks!

I created a new playlist in Tidal app on Desktop that is not 3rd party transferred and it's a bit buggy on M5 Ultra. I added and added tracks, one by one, I have loaded 200 onto it. I then went to M5 Ultra and opened Tidal and went to new playlist, but when I open it, it only lists 15 songs or less when i scroll down but when I hit play it reads that its playing 50 songs. When I look at new playlist "description" in tidal on M5 Ultra, it says there is 200 songs. It's just not loading them all to the player on the new playlist.
I've tried relogging and turning off player and on and it doesn't load the 200 songs In New Playlist I created on Tidal Desktop it only lists 15 or less but when I hit play it loads 50 songs only. I have over 1300 songs Liked so adding 1 by 1 is going to take a bit so I don't use 3rd party app to transfer playlist, but it's not loading on the player. Hopefully it gets fixed :D.

Again, thanks for the input, this means a lot to me and shows me that Shanling actually cares :D. Appreciate what your team does, and I hope the best for y'all. Thanks!

Oh, I have another error on my Shanling M5 Ultra. It seems that when I keep the screen off for a couple of hours but the player on, this happens multiple times a day by the way, I try to load anything on Tidal and it says, "Error Loading Check Network Connection" and nothing works until I log out and relog back in. I tried factory reset and it still has this error. All my other devices work on my network, I have fiber.

In such moment, does restarting the player fix the situation? The hours you keep the player on, does it keep playing or just sits unused? How is your idle setting?

Logging out, then relogging back in fixes it. The hours I keep the player on I am not playing anything and sits unused. The idle setting is "Off" for sleep timer and "Off" for Standby/Shutdown.

The Tidal implementation on Shanling and HiBy players of this kind is very poor, especially if you want to access your playlists and favorites. The only solution that I have found is enabling DLNA on the player and use either Mconnect or JPlay (when using iOS) or BubbleUpnp or USBPlayerPro when using Android.
Audirvāna is also a very nice solution but it costs.

anyone tried this with low impedance IEMs?
The impedance itself doesn't give us much info. It's much more important to know the impedance curve of the IEMs to see what the higher output impedance might do.

Regarding the Tidal API in the M5 Ultra OG, does anyone else get a very quiet sort of fizzy static at the beginning or in the transition from song to song when streaming Tidal? I've noticed this since I've owned it. My initial thought was it's picking it up from the WiFi although with WiFi on playing local files I don't seem to hear it, it just seems Tidal specific. In a noisy environment you might not hear it but if you're in deep listening mode it's there, at least with my unit.

When I have the unit in BAL LO mode with my A&K PA-10 it seems barely audible to inaudible as the connection to the amp somehow absorbs it. It's a very singular behavior as it seems to not be apparent during a song, even a quiet passage, just at the beginning and in the transitions from cut to cut. Not sure if I just have a susceptible unit or it's a bug. If it's a global thing it'd be something that could be looked at in a future firmware up to the Tidal API.

is this in comparison to say cayin n6ii or plenue s purely music wise? and does anyone have pics of the eq settings? is their presets like rock/jazz etc?
It's 10-band EQ system, it comes with few presets that can be adjusted and also custom profiles for your direct setting.
