Chinese apps are available only when you have your unit set to Chinese. If you switch your unit to Chinese, all these additional apps pop up.

Thanks for the tip. Hmm.. but what it means then is Apple Music and Spotify now run in Chinese. Tidal only runs in English and so that’s not an issue. Perhaps consider having how it was previously: all streaming apps show up regardless of primary language chosen. Alternatively if we have both English and Chinese chosen as languages, then both types of apps appear.

Big shout out to @Uncle Wilson of Jaben SG for the new player module for the M30! Big thanks to @frogbeanz for making time to have coffee and passing this to me. Always a pleasure to meet up!

Just some photos to show what it looks like. Good looking. And @frogbeanz is right. It does seem more spiffy!

Apologies for the dust. You can tell i made the mistake of using a white cloth as backing to cushion the M30.

I might post the tear down and put back together photos later for those who have forgotten to do it later today.

Not that I can tell at this early stage. It is the same DAC module being used. So, I would be surprised.

Hmm... my player is on SRC to 384. Anyway, give it some time. The UI is quicker for sure

One last thing before I enjoy listening to the M30 Pro with the ATH W10VTG in the evening over here near the Equator. The new micro SD card slot is under the tiltable player module now. So much more convenient! However, it may puzzle at first. It certainly did me. Cos it was not entirely clear to me what to do. Then with some experimenting, then I realised: ah! Slide it into the very well hidden and sleek insertion point. So, this is how it looks when it fully inserted. I will say @Shanling , this is elegantly designed.
