Introducing Shanling M3 Plus - New Midrange Android Portable Player at $469

Apr 21, 2025 at 3:11 AM Post #18 of 45
I know I can review the specs myself to compare, but in the "real world" how does this compare to the M1 Plus?

A bit of sound upgrade, a big change to overall use approach.

There will be the possibility to remote it wireless from our phone like there is in fiio m23?

We have a simple SyncLink feature in our app that can be used for remote controlling of MicroSD card playback.
But since this is Android, you can get apps to do even full screen mirroring.

(USA Pricing might differ)!!!

Is the battery replaceable by user? If not, why not? It's a shame that a device that can be useful for many, many years is junk when the LiPoly battery is done.

Cell phone fix shop would replace battery in DAP with easy. I have rescued R6 OG SS replacing battery for cheap.

@Shanling Expect Onix (Shanling) Alpha XI1 sound signature or much in different way ? I like this dongle and looking for similar sounding DAP.

Hi! I'm sorry, I really don't want to be annoying, but... Should I be anticipating the answer to my question, or it would be better for me to just move on?

I would like to know if the M3 plus is still having a warm sound signature or not, like UA6 or M1 plus.
Yeah ! Another good question but no answers.

Similar to modern smartphones, but easier to replace as we using overall a bit simpler and less glued construction.

yes, it still follows our a slightly warmer tuning.

What is the big change? If it's only a it of sound upgrade, then no point in getting if have M1 plus?

How does this compare to the M6 Ultra?
M3 Plus is smaller, with better Android and slightly higher power.

M6 Ultra would be positioned as better sounding one, but its tuning would be also a bit warmer than M3 Plus.

Thank you for your response!

Do you mean that you can't disclose this inform6, or is that you just don't know? If it's the latter, is there any possibility to contact Shanling engineers? They should know about this, since the information about Class H / Class AB operation is readily available in the Cirrus Logic datasheets.
