Introducing ONIX Waltz XM10 Ltd - First Standalone Portable Android Player by ONIX

All i can say is i heard it, and bought it during launch day 15 jan in China.

My biggest headache after buying is cables. I cannot find any 3.5 mm balance cable on sale except the one provided. I am refering to 3.5 mm balance male to rca or xlr to connect to an amp. Or even asking custom cable makers to do a 5 pin 3.5mm cable for iems is a challenge.

If the provided cable is spoilt, is it sold anyone by shanling? Are you guys intending to sell 3.5 mm balance to other connection types?
I still have Original Dunu Hulk with 3.5mm Pro minijack ! Will test it on CJ NYC.

If you want the basic 3.5mm to 4.4mm, you can get the Shanling M0 Pro adapter, they are the same.
We also sell the one from XM10 as a replacement part, for which you would need to contact either us directly or you local distributor.

We will also have in near future another adapter for 3.5mm to 4.4mm, simpler without cable.

For these 3.5mm TRRRS connectors, it's nothing proprietary, not our creation.
Edit - Found it on Aliexpress:

Also, DO NOT make Balanced to RCA cable, that's never a good idea. 3.5mm to XLR could be done.

They should consider including two adapters. It’s undoubtedly going to get lost.

You can purchase Shanling M0 Pro Adapter if you loose the original from Waltz.

Understood. It would be nice to see a quad dac setup in such a thin device but I guess the tech isn’t there yet. And will this replace the DAP in the Miracle?

The Waltz is fully compatible with Miracle.
But Miracle itself is still sold with the original XM10.

Any plans to sell the Miracle without XM10? @Shanling

Nice! :relaxed:

@Patrick415, can you help?

I'm fine with buying multiples as long as they sell them separately, to account for failure, loss, etc.

I do stock 3.5mm TRRS and can build this cable.
One off requests are welcome, and are often how new products join the lineup! Message me with your specifics.

Thanks, but I would prefer the thinness (11.5 mm) of this, as opposed to the thickness (19.5 mm) of the M5 Ultra. This is because I want to attach it to my phone, and try using it as a glorified dongle at times, with the added bonus that I can detach it at will and have a standalone DAP too.
That was exactly what I would love to do!
Do you have an idea of an easy option to attach and detach from the cell?

I'm considering both thin adhesive magnets as well as non-permanent adhesive dots. The two main concerns are: (a) do you want to retain wireless charging capability on your phone; and (b) do you intend to preserve resale value of either your phone or XM10 in the future?

For myself, the answers to the two questions above are "yes" and "I don't care" so I would probably use both my phone and XM10 without their respective cases. That would allow me to use magnets that are ~1mm thick on both the phone and XM10, which is well under the 5mm threshold that wireless charging requires.

So, I'd probably wind up going with adhesive magnets like these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BJQ918KX/

Thanks. Does this mean that the magnets will only go into the XM10 ? And it will attached or the iPhone with this?

My understanding is that the iPhone magnet/maysafe is specialized in the way the magnets are arranged so just any magnet will not give the strength that a MagSafe compatible device / ring offers.
