It has been like this in our system since 2018, so far we got no improvement on it from our software team.

I like sometimes to tame a bit a nasty treble spikes on poor records. Or add some meat to lower mids for more heft.

Amazing to me that this player doesn't get more attention. Fantastically well built, the onboard software is snappy, it does everything it claims to well. Having AirPlay support even makes it a good around the house Roon endpoint if you aren't too stuck on HiRes audio. The sound and power is great. There isn't much not to like about it.
