I'm waiting for customs clearance to receive it.

On the iFi NEO iDSD I use the Ifi ipurifier3, but from what I've read, this device doesn't need it.
Is it better to use the Ifi ipurifier3 or not?
I always say that any type of "signal" or "power" purification can never hurt, but the reality is that this is something you should determine with your own ears.

I have seen many posts over my time here that deal with the topic of differences in "one too many" of these types of devices causing a lack of detail or other unintended effects.

It is best to hear what you hear and be pleased with your own use!

Cheers!!

Hi,
I’ve got an IDSD2 with me right now and trying to figure out some of the features. Managed to turn off display / dim the display but there doesn’t seem to be a menu function to dim the bright operational light. I know it’s meant to illuminate the plastic part behind but the LED white shining out from the front is rather glaring - especially for people listening at night.
Is there a function to dim this or at least change it to warm / yellowish hue?

Also is there a default standby mode (or should the unit be powered off completely when not in use) so that it won’t have to do a cold start warm up before the next listening session.
Cheers

Hello,

At the moment there is only the option for the display lighting, I will inquire if it is a possibility to add this feature but I do not believe so.

There is no "standby" mode just power the unit on and off normally and it is ready to be used.

Cheers!!

Thanks. The off mode totally shuts off all the circuitry - So a warm up is needed before critical listening ?

Does Ifi recommend leaving the unit on for daily listening?

I believe this should be something to look into rather than then Lights, I’ll stick some tape over 😉 to dull the operational light.

Cheers
We have no recommended state from power on/off setting. This would be completely dependent on what you hear, and your beliefs regarding warm-up for critical listening.

Thanks and enjoy!

Cheers!!

Is there a fixed or variable audio option on iFi NEO iDSD2?
Yes, It is in the "onscreen menu system" Scroll to the bottom.

You hold the center volume button to reach that menu.

Cheers!!

After two months of usage, i am stunned by the xBass function.
I was really skeptical about it, but now i can't get enough of that boom.
Glad to hear that, it is a very addicting feature!

Cheers!!
