This company did say they did not expect Tomy registered such common product and Tomy also redesign their patent product... so in my opinion this case is more of similar idea but different execution product such as Dunu, Moondrop did the interchangeable jack...
I don’t think it’s a common product or else there wouldn’t be this post right now. This is something I have always dreamt of because I hated sending my cables in for modding just so they would work with my other iems. In any case, the patent has been established and respect needs to be shown. I do believe things will clarify as EA makes a statement acknowledging the presence of the patent while continuing to sell this ConX outside of China.

If you did read the article and you should know what I said... and about the patent, if what OE Audio said is correct... then EA might be ok to sell it since OE did register before Tomy... (If only what OE said is correct and OE still working with EA)

no that is not correct. Tomy had it first. No patent was ever made by EA/OE.(this could change) No proof was ever provided for any patent.

To our valued EA customers and fellow audio enthusiasts,

ConX was built from the idea of relieving the frustrations of having to deal with different IEM connectors. We truly believe this is a product which can help all audiophiles, which is why we decided to price it affordably and make the service available for all cables, regardless of brand.

Over the last few days several Head-Fi’ers have expressed that the concept of an interchangeable connector was released by Tomy Audiophile before ConX.
The original design and development of the ConX system however has been a long and arduous process, which we undertook well before there were similar designs in the market.

Once made aware of this potential conflict, we nevertheless immediately reached out to Tomy Audiophile. Tomy Audiophile and Effect Audio quickly established common ground based on mutual respect, as both brands share the same vision of improving all audiophiles’ experience and meaningfully helping this community.

With that, ConX will remain available as an upgrade for all interested Head-Fi’ers.

We wish Tomy Audiophile the best of success, and thank all of you for your support and interest for our products over the years.

My personal set of ConX arrived :sunglasses:

It's as easy as it looks: just twist them on and they're good to go.

Thank you for the "Do No Evil" and keep it modular philosophy. It has helped me build my dream Perfectly Neutral Reference Cable. Appreciate the attention paid to latency on the ConX.

My whole system runs @ mOhms, so the ConX doesn't seem to be holding anything back.

I'm off the beaten path in this hobby so I don't run traditional setups, so having parts available for the end goal is quite acceptable.

I'll post photos on the ConX Connectors soon.

I don't know what I would do without ConX. Maybe the official T2 connector, but I doubt they focus any efforts on latency.

Thanks again EA for making ConX available for other brands. Be aware there's no guarantee your respective connector will fit your C/IEM, so do your due diligence.

Effect Audio offers a choice of Black or Silver:
