  These seem like they might be just the ticket for using a good IEM for runs, but the micro-usb port on this is exposed. I'm concerned that sweat would ruin this nifty cable pretty quickly. What do y'all think?

Yes that is a problem. unlinke the westone this doesnt have a flap and may not be good for running.

To be fair, Lear isn't claiming this is a running accessory. It just seemed ideal given how light and small it is.

Please understand that the reason which caused such a high shipping fee is due to the product  built in with battery.

Just make sure both side of L/R are facing inward or outward  is ok.
Factory default is facing inward by the way.
