Could you LP6 experts please tell me the sound changes between the 2 dac chip and 4 dac chip models? And which models have the 4 chips? Thanks

Yes. Only LP6 Ti and LP6 Ti 7th anniversary have 4 chips. The difference that you get is more texture, more timbre, more headroom and a more vibrant sound. It is more detailed yet not bright. Still very organic.

I would love to Know if Cayin C9 improve SQ of LP6 Ti ?

Just to be honest, I would be quite suprised. While the c9 has a different tonality and presentation that may synergize with certain cans better, I found its raw technicalities worse than the internal amp of the P6 Pro (be it detail, stage placement, timber, etc) and AFAIK the internal amp of the LP6 line is supposedly a step up from the amp in the P6 Pro

Different situation here, I found great benefit with p6p and c9 together in LO, fuller bass, wider and deeper stage, more slam.

Yeah the LP6TI AE is a beast. Its internal desktop class amp is the best out of all the daps on the market today and can drive the hd800s with ease.

This just sounds like whatever you were running was underpowered though. The lp6ti has a ton my juice on tap than the 060

I am speaking about p6pro, not lp6ti.
Underpowered or not, p6pro has a great sound but I prefer using C9 also with low impedence iems.

Oh, I totaly understand liking the tonalith/presentation/synergy better. I felt the same about c9 with thimmium and infinity mk2 vs p6p direct. I just think in terms of technicalities like detail, timbre, etc, it doesn't quite stack up to p6p direct performance in my experience, so I'm jot guessing it lived up to lp6to performance either

Ok understood what are you saying, you could try to use the C9 in preamp mode so you will leave more the DAP character over the C9's one (as explained by @Andykong)

Can you elaborate on this please?
I intend to use the p6pro with aroma a100tb with Thummim, and while I like the p6pro amps technicalities I find it week for Thummim.
Are you saying it might be better to run the p6pro in headphones out mode connected to an external amplifier rather then line out ?
Thnx
