I just bought a P6 pro with firmware 1.0.1.1. Dunno if it's the latest one, but I tried to search the l&p site but no P6 pro fw could be found. Can someone help me, please?

With the latest firmware, has anyone confirmed the maximum file limit? I was consolidating things a bit today and my 1TB card started having playing issues (random color lines, playback errors, blank screen) for above 15.5K files. I was able to lower it to 14.8K and no issues so far after a refresh on my P6pro Ti99.

Is 15K the new limit?

If anyone is using MacOS for copy files to their player it is better to delete hidden macos files after copying.
I have encountered that my P6 after powering on considers hidden files as another track.
I'm using command in terminal -
dot_clean -vm <path your sdcard>
This was super helpful - thank you!

Guys the LP7 will come out in the second half of this year (I am told). Don't hold your breath though. This DAP will be sold out before you know it. Fingers on the buzzer please;)
But it should cause some LP6 to be sold in classifieds 🤣😋

Hello,

The luxury&precision L6 and P6 Pro only support FAT32, and the maximum file size for FAT32 is 4GB.
I manage my files on the L6 and P6 Pro using the “CUE + 1 file” format. Of course, each file is within the 4GB limit. Both the L6 and P6 Pro can play back this “CUE + 1 file” format correctly.
However, if a single file exceeds 2GB, the device does not recognize the ID tags. If the file is smaller than 2GB, the ID tags are recognized correctly.
Does L&P’s OS support playback of files up to 4GB but only recognize ID tags for files up to 2GB? Or is this a bug?
The firmware versions are as follows:
• L6: 1.0.1.3
• P6 Pro 10th Anniversary: 1.0.0.5

Thank you.

Are there any beginners guides for how to set up your L&P device properly to avoid grief?
Its rather straightforward, really.

Fat32 if you format sd card for it in windows or just format the card in the device. Use drivesort utitlity to organise your library and take your time to build a good folder structure so you can find your music fast, it will make a very big difference with this device. Avoid broken meta data with your files, since this can slow the dap down on start up and sometimes make it freeze when you update media library on it. If it freezes dont panic, hold the start up botton for 30-40 sec it will boot. You always can make it boot connecting it to a pc.
