I am looking at purchasing a Ibasso pb1 toucan to power my senn hd 580 from an iPhone 4. I plan on using a lod to 3.5 mm jack on the iPhone connecting it to the amp and then connecting the hd 580 headphones via a balanced to unbalanced adapter. Does this sound correct? Anything I am missing ? Eventually I want to get the separate dac would that benefit me with the iPhone? And lastly is buying this amp good idea for My setup?

If you are not intending to reterminate the HD580 to the hirose connector but via an adapter, you will not reap the benefit of going balanced as advised by hiflight here
