Hello all, I'm looking for a pair of buds that will function with my Samsung Galaxy SII X with a mic. I had a pair of Nuforces in the past but these seem to be discontinued and build quality was less than desirable. Hoping to have dual-duty with my iPod as well so something with decent audio quality as well. Noticed Klipsch S4A as well but the reviews here for the S4 were not suggesting it was worthwhile.
 
Trying to keep it under $100.

I recommend the Sennheiser MM 30i, or the MM 70i. or the Sennheiser  CX 275s if you want something that is a little cheaper.

Thanks John, I'll look into that one. I was also considering the MEE SP51. Do you have any experience with that one?

Well, I know OF them, but I have never tried them for myself. The reason I recommend Sennheiser is because they are very good quality when it comes down to it. I have dropped my headphones, my dog ( rottweiler) has tried eating them and has sat on them, but she didnt even leave teeth marks lol. But I am not saying that Sennheisers are the best for sound. But I DO strongly believe they are the best for comfort and durability, but for sound, you can get better IMO

i always wanted to try the sennheiser line. i was looking at the cx890i myself. i wish it was easier finding headphones with mic. currently i'm using klipsch s4i's but they just don't sound right to me.

Yea, for me, Klipsch just was not comfortable at all for me, and it does have a certain soundstage, you either hate it or love it

FWIW, I have the Galaxy S3 and the MEE CC51P, which also has a mic, and the mic does work with my Galaxy, so I'm guessing the odds are very good the SP51's mic will also work with this phone. Wasn't sure if you were looking for confirmation on that, but there you go. Sort of. 

 
FYI, the CC51P is less at Amazon than the SP51, if that interests you.

I have the Klipsch S4s, they are very sibilant and have poor separation of instruments in songs with lots going on, I'm not sure if they fixed that with the newer ones as that was a big complaint along with the cord which they did fix.  They are not that bad of a headphone for the money as they do sound good with those exceptions, but you should try out a newer pair of you can, perhaps they might suit your music tastes and have been fixed.

i had a chance to listen to this cx890i when I saw my friend using it with his iPhone and the sound was superb...when i listen to favorite country song, the clarity was excellent and when i tried with those bassy sound, the bass was excellent too....and what more, i tried on my samsung sIII and the play button works too but not the volume buttons...so i say i'll must have one of this for myself

I'm looking for an In-ear headset to use mainly for Skype/Google hangouts work meetings and phone calls but also to listen to music, under 50 bucks. I've a pair of Brainwavz R1 but unluckily not the mic version, they are great and I was looking for something similar in soundstage. I have read a lot of threads from Head-fi and my list til now is:

1. MEElectronics M9P  (18 usd)
2. Soundmagic PL21 / MP21 (22 usd)
3. Nuforce NE-600M (30 usd)
4. Brainwavz M5 (45 usd)
5. Klipsch Image S4A (49 usd)

 
It seems that the Nuforce 600M is a good candidate and at a good price. What do you think guys? any other recommendation ?
