In addition to the GS1... I have a few others coming

Sorry if I you took me as critisizing you, which I am not.

I just feel like providers in head-fi community deserves to be treated differently from BestBuy and Sony even though the return policy sounds the same. But this is only me and has nothing to do with what you do

And sure, business is business.

What do you want me to do? Seriously, what can I do?

I want to choose the best amp for my setup... I cant audition, I dont even know what I'm buying - I'm only going by hearsay.... what should I do?

Tell me a cost effective way of doing this.

Before you critique what I do, notice that by doing this I get to help others who ask about the Lite and DPS as well. Also, my review could be potentially good for Justin's business as I noticed that a lot more people are looking into the DPS as a possible upgrade path.

But, seriously, what should I do? You tell me I'm abusing it, tell me what to do then.[/QUOTE]

Tagosaku,

I made sure to ask Justing ahead of time, multiple times. I asked him if he was sure. If he wasnt, then I wouldnt do it. I'm not doing this without Justin knowing... he knows that I ordered all the amps for the purpose of picking one.

As long as they improve on the HK330's headphone out, he is getting a sale.

FYI, alot of Gilmore Lite owners here felt that the Lite took a long, long time (hundreds of hours) to burn-in well.

I cant burn them all in - even if it does exist. I'm going for short term so take my review with a grain of salt.

Couldn't tell you about break in time on these since I bought the review sample that got passed around when SACD lover and I reviewed it! I'm coming up on a year now since I acquired the amp and for those who know me here that's a long time for me!! Truly love the Gilmore Lite and Grado combo. I can only imagine how nice the GS-1 sounds. Looking forward to your impressions!!

Only because you haven't heard them yet. Once you do it will be headphone lust you feel!

listen to me. i was in the same shoes you were in. look at my sig and see all the gear i've gone through. the pursuit of ultimate sound quality is an obssessive compulsive disorder which has no end. it's like a mental disease, akin to being a neat freak. you will always be looking for greener fields until you stop listening to gear and start listening to your music. you will always think their is something else to the music that you just aren't hearing with your gear. trust me on this. you've got to stop somewhere, and i sincerely hope it's before you've depleted a reasonable budget. i hope you find audio happiness!

Dano,
I know speakers are my number one love and headphones second... but this headphone hobby is beginning to creep into my speaker budget. I will truly take your advice to heart and will listen to the amps with an open mind. The best fit for me (whether it is the best sounding or the best overall price/perfomance ratio) will be decided with the best of my abilities, hence I ordered all of them.

I hope I stop. Really.

I agree. The most important thing is that you find your sound signature that you like. After that, the exponential nature of performance increases won't justify the cost if you sit back and just enjoy the music. Better to buy more CDs!

You know what... I'm hoping the GLite puts on a show. I hope that's the amp I end up with because it is the cheapest... and I will have extra cash for that 26" lcd I've been wanting to buy.

Come on LITE!
