no shipping email yet

That email musta been the trycelery leftover, all those who pre-ordered got it. Unfortunately, no Aten has actually been shipped yet, afaik. Having been charged a month and a half ago, it's getting annoying.

According to his social media, sets have been sent, just none of us here, apparently. Agreed on it being annoying.

Annoying.... I'm on the edge to cancel it....

Per Bob's Facebook today, last of the shipments heading out this week. I have to admit to being a little antsy at this point as well. Honestly, I don't think he did himself any favors with the 18 June ship prediction. I guess we'll all know by Friday one way or another.

Should be, should be, should be.... It's just really annoying. It's better to say it will be shipped in august than saying should be one month long! Honestly i hope it is worth to wait... In other way i'm done here

No disagreement here. I don't mind waiting on something great, but I do prefer to know about the wait ahead of time

Understand that running a small business must be tough. But the communications, although genuine, are poorly thought out and poorly managed. It's like he doesn't understand how to market or sell his product. Which I can forgive for a niche product that excels from a technical perspective.....as long as it materialises. Not sure how much he's actually learned from the R2 launch and the aborted recent launch - I would have hoped that the message "deliver what you promise on time and over communicate with your customers" is quite important! But he's a niche specialist business trying to deliver a product he's passionate about rather than a sleek marketing operation selling you an overpriced hyped up product so I'm happy to cut some slack.

Well, to be fair he did state that shipping will be 2 weeks after the payment collection, so that would have already been in July. And also i have waited so long since the preorder, i don't mind waiting another week or two ^^

I agree, the communication has been lacking since a while. Also the whole marketing and selling process is far from optimal, see all the errors with discounts and so on.
But i think from all this the product itself can only benefit, since he dedicates much more attention and time to it rather than to marketing, ect. That way i am sure we will receive a great sounding IEM in the end.
And also, so far he has learned from most of his mistakes. And he is listening to feedback (See the upgraded cables and case on the R2).
I just really hope there won't be such a stupid thing as the polarity and annodization issues again. Would be a shame...

Well according to the R2 aten product page, shipping has already started (underway).
I'm sure some of us will start getting it this week.

As Bob stated previously, we will get tracking info within a day or two after shipment.

I run a small specialty business as well. It isn't my main source of income, and sometimes things get delayed. The most important thing in those instances is to over-communicate like mad, and send tracking BEFORE THE PACKAGE IS SENT. That last bit is so key- it shows movement and allows for the customer to have another source of information so I don't look like I'm holding out on them. They get a notification the instant it ships that way, if so desired.

Given the number of things that have gone wrong and been publicly addressed already, I'm confident he knows what he's doing, and equally confident he's feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment. I've managed launches that tested the limits of my abilities, and it's not a great place to be, but the feeling of sending the last item out the door is so worth it. I do hope these are what Bob has promised, and he gets to experience that feeling soon. That will be great news for all of us.

Folks, who knows, maybe we don’t get the Aten after all. But I do know this - if these go out in the next week or so, there are going to be at least some very embarrassed people - or at least if they have a shred of decency they should be embarrassed.

Hold your hate jets for just a little while, lest you be made to look like a small child pitching a fit because they didn’t get their ice cream cone the very minute that their parents promised it. I have two sons - that behavior was understandable when they were four, not when they are in their 20s.

Before you flame me for using a bad analogy... yes, we are adults and not children. We all (me included) paid good money. Yes, the person we paid good money to made statements and promises. Have you ever created something brand new and been asked to forecast a schedule? Have you had to manage the logistics - supply, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping? Those of you who say you know how to do this and exclaim “I NEVER do this or that”, well, I bow to you. I have several decades of products behind me and can say scheduling is hard, and delivering is harder. Frankly, if Bob hadn’t given you an estimate you would be pitching a hissy fit for that.

There are many bigger things to get worked up over. If these go out a few days late, no harm, no foul. If on the other hand these are vaporware... well, then, that is a completely different story. But we are not there yet.

If you want certainty then always buy an existing product from a retailer that has it in stock and offers predictable delivery. Anything else is going to drive you bananas.

hello to all waiting R2 buyer's

got a IMR mail:

Dear Customers,

Thank you to all of you who have been in touch regarding the shipping status of the R2 Aten.

As many will know shipping is in progress and has been for a little while now.

The last of the orders will be completed/shipped by the end of this week.

While R2's are being packed and shipped I am in the process of uploading your details to shopify. This will mean you will most likely get an additional order confirmation and a few days later all your tracking info will be uploaded. Sadly this is a laborious manual input job and not as fast as an automated process.

My apologies for this slower process but due to trycelery (preorder system) pulling their service it has meant having to a lot of time wasting manual input into shopify (the service that hosts the IMR website).

Thank you to one and all and I am extremely excited to get your feedback on the R2 Aten.

Regards

Bob

So.. thank's for that Info and now i know things are in progress
