Haha exactly same shoes. I remember when i first bought ie80 and was stunned and even convinced my mate to buy a pair. I would not be surprised if eventually that will happen with r1 zenith or rah.

That be the Sennheiser CX400 in my case. In those days that was what I thought all I needed

Now with this Rah... DD, planar, ceramic...
Not sure of what other combos I would consider. Really excited about these.

I haven't been that wowed with the BAs, electrostats and their hybrid combos.

I always seem to go back to my dynamics, namely Finals e5000, TinHifi p1, Zenith and most recently the Shanling m100.

As @warriorpoet suggested in the R1 thread, Symbio W tips are a great option with IMR. They worked well with the R1, fit weird with the Z for me (stock silicones were really good), and they are amazing with the R2. The relatively shallow insertion, on account of their density, works particularly well to replicate the feeling of large open-back headphones.

Ordered my Rah today, and also I gave him my personal feedback after my experience with r1/r1z and r2. He told me that few changes will be made to the Rah case and filter holder, so I'm really happy with that.
