Has anyone received the IMR Elan? Wonder how similar (or not) it would be to the IMR Knight, considering that the only (?) difference is the dynamic driver size (10mm vs. 6mm)?
The Elan also has two bone conduction drivers.
EDIT:
Meant to say that I too would like to read owners thoughts on the Elan
The Elysium's little brother EDP+ are not so good. My EDP+ have been playing for more than 150 h and treble detail, extension and soundstage are worse than my favorite TWS, the Sennheiser Momentum TW2. In fact, I am a bit disappointed with the EDP+...
Hopefully you're just somewhere in the 'burn-in' doldrums and things improve.
If not you could just return them as per Bobs policy.

Sorry, it seems to be a problem of my HiRes source (LG V50). If I activate the DTS:3D Surround option, the EDP+ treble is significantly extended y soundstage improves a lot. Qobuz and Tidal HiRes sound fantastic! This EDP+ needs a really good and powerful music player!

:) 'Always know your signal flow' !

This was my conclusion - The EDP+ is a whole different beast when you give it some power / amplitude - Its like everything just comes together.
When the source isn't powerful enough [for it], it still sounds great but i struggled to get the sound that i thought it SHOULD be able to produce UNTIL I plugged it into a powerful amp

Could anybody compare Opus Mia to CA Honeydew?

voila, I received the Elan.

I'll try to give a little review, but it's difficult. it is very dependent
on the sources. So take it with a grain of salt (it's a French expression).

out of the box, I was amazed. they have less bass than astra or elysium. the
other IEMs have a Dolby effect and the elan less. but the bass in the middle
are more prominent and punchy and the sub bass a little less present. but
they have gained in quality and it really is a great change. i listened to
them with my fiio m11 pro, which is a brilliant DAP. but if I listen to them
with my Shanling M8, which is warmer, I find this Dolby effect again. the
bass has become more powerful and the quality is superb. which makes me
believe that the Elan is very dependent on the sources.

I also noticed that originally the music had no echo. everything is
perfectly controlled. but after a few hours, the echo settled down. It will
probably change later. the Elan is very close to the Astra, but with better
bass. it comes close to an analytical IEM. I am impressed by the naturalness of the instruments and the details. I also noticed that when it starts to have a lot of instruments, it
feels a bit messy, in the sense that there is less soundstage. the 3D effect
of the BC pilots are present, still as addictive. Elan also brings a lot of
energy. now i have found an IEM that makes me love my Shanling M8 DAP which
i found too relaxed. I have the impression that the tone of the voices is
ringing higher, it gives a more youthful effect and it is beautiful. the
voices are at the same level or a little more forward than the rest.

in general, the Elan is an IEM that is energetic with great vocals. for me,in term of soundstage,
they are between Astra and Elysium. I am very happy to have an IEM that
makes me enjoy my warm DAP and brings the superb low end. The black Matt color is beautiful.

I think the Elan might have a natural and neutral sound, so maybe that's the reason it has a better synergy with the M8. Bob said the Elan that offers a lot of "realism".

By the way, just saw the picture he posted in Instagram and it looks stunning.

I can very much confirm that you need a MINIMUM of 300 hours for these new IEMs

I am already transported in fairy dreams.
Great to see that yours have arrived. Mine appears to be in transit over the seas somewhere.

How is the fit? I'm hoping it will sit more flushed into the ears than the Rah and Semper.

it will come. since I have IEMs with the BC driver, I use the smallest tips to make it go as deep as possible. compared to semper i dunno, but it goes pretty deep. I would still have preferred it to be a little shorter. otherwise I lose the BC effect a bit. before I used medium tips.

I have a feeling Xelastecs are going to be the tip of choice for these BC models. My guts are telling me its going to be the depth and material that provides the greatest transfer from the BC driver. We'll see. My Astra is still on the way.

I have the xelastecs in size ms. I can't use them because they don't go deep enough it seems to me. so that I lose the effect of the BC. I would like to try a size smaller. but with size ms, they got stuck in my ear. I also finds that xelastecs do not hold up well. so for now, I'm sticking with the IMR tips.
