I took a similar picture actually, but the opamp is on the opposite side.

Hey Cleos, How would you rate the T1 V the 2stepdance? I know the latter is more expensive.. But soundwise?

Just thinking what would pair up better with my Miracles and Merlin, plus I have 3 Hifiman IEM's,  252,262,272.
The T1- Quickstep- ALO RXII .....were just some options I was looking at....

Haven't heard the 2SD, but it should be pretty close to the original StepDance so I'll say they are probably the same level, but different in flavour. There is something unique about balanced ground that makes SD sounds effortless with any IEM. T1 on that other hand will be more revealing and aggressive.

T1's gain is on the lower side. If you are planning to use it with high impedance, low sensitivity headphone, you might not get enough volume.

Most portable amps are not designed to drive 600ohm full-size. Those that do are probably not going to be nearly as good as a desktop amp. Anyway, FiiO E12 can handle them.

IEM (and low impedance, high sensitivity headphone as well) needs low output impedance, high current and low gain to get the tightness / control while avoiding excessive noise coming from amplification. High impedance, low sensitivity headphone on the other hand don't get affect by output impedance much (as long as it is still relatively low), needs less current but high gain so it will have enough volume. While it might not be 100% true all the time, I think you can say a big number of the desktop amps that are designed for these harder-to-drive full size tend not to perform at its best with IEM.

It will work. But how well is hard to say since I have neither the T1 or the DBA-02 MK2 with me.
