Though we don't quite agree with IEMatch to have an adverse impact on the sound, thank you for your review. Nice work!

As for IEMatch itself, this is an option for customers to decide whether it works for them.

Also, please do check this thread, iEMatch is explained in detail there:

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/what-the-heck-is-it-ifi-iematch.814317/

I'm thinking my experience with the nano's iematch is due to the output impedance and the Andromeda. As for the dongle, I think it is a much better fit. Any change in sound isn't as noticeable, and certainly not while on the go. I use it every day.

I also have a review of the micro black label on the way. So far these are great products!!

Can someone please tell me why iFi uses 'USB-A plug' as a digital input?

I read few reviews of iFi portable gear in search to find the answer for this question. After reading I can only guess that the reason for using 'USB-A plug' might be, that this makes it possible to connect iFi products to Apple products (without the need to get Apple-certification for the iFi product).

Is my guess correct, or is there some other reason?
I have only seen iFi using 'USB-A plug' as input, are there any other manufacturer doing the same?

I hope someone with knowledge educates me on this, since I couldn't find the answer myself.

There are several portable audio devices that use smaller USB-C connection, so I just wonder why iFi is not using it too.

As far as I know you're correct. The Camera Connection Kit works perfectly with the iFi gear. Waiting for Apple to officially certify gear can take ages, and screwed up at least one manufacturer with massive delays. They also provider a USB extension cable in the box to connect their products to your computer.

Thanks for the answer Currawong :)

Maybe @iFi audio can answer too, I would really like know the history and reasons for the decision to use USB-A plug. And of course I'd like to get a verification if my guess is correct.

Currawong's right. That's all there is to it.

This is a great amp. It basically makes the sound you have right now more detailed without colouring it at a very affordable price. Fairly light too and love the volume knob.

Hi! I've bought an used (like new!) Nano BL last week.. Paired with iPhone 5-Tidal and with a Schiit Magni 3 desktop amp.. Wow! It instantly replaced the schiit Modi2.

Just a question, now, about the 3.5 balanced port.. it's hard to find cables o adaptors. Do you have any suggestion?
