Thanks iFi, I got mine at a store today. Compared to the earlier model, there seems to be a lower noise floor, where details are more fleshed out and with improved dynamics. Is this consistent with your own listening experience?

Is it just the new iUSB and iPower in the box?

Hi,

With iFi dacs such as the nano, micro DSDs, iDAC2 and Retro Stereo 50, similar to what you found.

But with noisy PCs and other DACs, there is a major jump in performance. We have some expensive DACs here and even with those, the improvement was 'quite nice.'

There is a really nice smoothness to it like a Louis Royer XO versus Napoleon Cognac. One sip and it is game over.

Wow! A true Helicarrier as expected :D

Just one question.

The product page shows the iUSB3.0 as having a 9V power input.

However, the Helicarrier 2 image showed a 12V car/van/boat power input.

Will the iUSB3.0 tolerate both?

Or are you going to surprise us with a 12-13.7V -> 9V Ultra low Noise Converter?

It seems TB had his 3 shredded wheat!

The new iUSB ain't no fussy eater.

The iUSB3.0 handles anything from at least 6V to absolute max 18V.

So it is compatible with notional 12V Battery Systems for Cars (which really are 14.4V and reach even higher voltages under "load-dump").

You need to however feed enough total power to get enough output (no, it does not include an over-unity power system).

For two USB 3.0 Devices that is at least 10 Watt and to support two BC1.2 devices that is 15 Watt, with the included iPower you can support one USB 3.0 device and one BC1.2 Device.

Cheers.

I take it this only applies to the iUSB3.0?

I can't put 12V car power up my iCAN and expect it to keep working?

Yea it's blue.

One sided or dual sided?

The secret of the iUSB3.0 is out but apparently details of it's included accessories are still classified.......

Why can't we get pics and/or info of this stuff similar to when the iDSD Micro was launched. I realize the Micro was crowd designed but c'mon, even the iUSB online manual (pdf) doesn't list the box contents.

Yeah thats strange, i hope they include a cheaper blue cable version of gemini, because i dont think it will make THAT of a difference having the gemini... The magic is in the iUSB itself.
