Hi there was wondering if anybody out there that is using the ifi ican/idac combo with the he 500 and whether they had enough power to run them? I'm using mine with the Q701 and I'm very happy with the sound they are producing at this point. Im looking to purchase the he 500 in a couple weeks as my stockist is waiting for them to arrive. Wondering if they are worth the upgrade.

The iCan is actually quite decent with HE-500. Pretty dynamic, but bass impact could be better. I think it's a fine amp to use for a start.

cheers so I'm gathering something like a lyr would be more suffice as alot of threads are suggesting for he 500
