Thank you for your experience with me!Hi,
I found 12V always better.
Greetings.
Restored the streamer! Reflashed via USB C.All. Tuzik died.
I started, as always, to suffer with switching network modes (WiFi/LAN), it took a long time to be discovered and not immediately. It restarted when I tried to turn it off WiFi, which turned on again and probably therefore restarted the connection.
I updated the version, rebooted - it became even worse (less often) to connect. Volumio later requested consent to the new terms. Did a reset via Web - and could no longer connect to iFi Zen Stream. Can't boot. I did a reset via a mechanical button several times, waiting up to half an hour... The access point does not turn on.
I took it apart - with difficulty I found a glowing - red-hot point on the board in the area USB port (in the darkness of the case I saw a glow, there was no led-diode there). Apparently from gradual heating (although for a year it was not turned on constantly, but only when in use) and/or The latest update has finished off the device. It's a shame, I played well, but I had to spend time on settings. Didn't turn off WiFi, for connected requires a long time, reset the output from Usb on SPDIF.
Ok weird I thought more heat with 15volts!With 15V is better I guess, the heat of the unit is less.
Sorry you are still having issues...I'm almost ready to give up on using the Zen Stream due to some very frustrating UPnP issues, ex: returned inconsistent DIDL metadata issue(a very basic mistake) > reported.
I'm not a Roon user, and unlike WiiM, you don't seem to have a way to provide quick-fix releases.

Hi,Sorry you are still having issues...
If you have not could you please report your findings to our support folks using this link and opening a ticket...
https://support.ifi-audio.com/
They may have better information for your circumstance, and can also communicate directly with our Factory tech folks to better address the issues you are seeing.
Cheers!!
I would definitely continue to follow up on this issue I will look at the ticket you mentioned here and try to get you some answers, however this is a deeper tech issue that would be more than I could answer here with my knowledge being less than our tech support could you do for you.Hi,
On September 30th, I reported an issue with inconsistent DIDL metadata (#248230).
Your tech support responded to me quickly, but a precise answer requires confirmation from your development team.
Is your team still on holiday?
I'm still waiting for your team's response.
I discussed this issue with some developers earlier.
They believe this is a bug with the UPnP renderer.
I also spent some time observing packet captures using Wireshark, and I also believe it does.
This bug can cause UPnP players to encounter abnormal states when retrieving DIDL metadata.
(GetPositionInfo/GetMediaInfo/NOTIFY)
Moreover, I believe this bug needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
Thanks

Hi Peter19500, in my opinion it is absolutely useful to update to the latest version of the firmware. I have been using the Zen Stream for three years and have never had any major problems with it, but the new firmware has brought a significant progress in terms of stability and speed.I want to ask you about your experience with the latest update. Aren't there problems with that? Is it worth updating? I have two updates behind in Ifi. Thank you
Normally a 9v is included, had always been this way since launch. What voltage power supply comes with the Zen Stream in October 2024?

I ordered a 15v iPower X from iFi on Amazon for the Zen Stream. Since the Zen One Signature has an iPower 2, I am not certain it needs upgraded.Normally a 9v is included, had always been this way since launch.
The Zen Stream can handle 9-15v power supply range and there are many opinions on which is best scattered through the 2 threads on the ZS.
Personally I have always preferred the iPower X on the Zen Stream and had this in 12v.
Cheers!!
