Good idea as well! I will admit I have never used that particular option, no particular reason, must be my age showing...

Cheers!!
Constantly using it. Sometimes Spotify/Tidal does't see ZS and after restart from there (without having to go to the unit becauseit is hidden)....it is ok.
I hope in the new update at least some of the bugs will be ironed out.
Will it be based on the new Volumio version?

That I do not know to be honest, my guess would be that is doubtful, but I have no way of knowing for sure.

The interesting thing regarding the "bugs" you mention is I rarely see personally some of these bugs that get referred to in my system at home. It makes me wonder if it is perhaps something we are using in our networks that causes them.

But that would be an endless search for differences I think, lol

Always report any bugs you encounter to our support team so they can be logged and investigated.

Cheers!!

Anyone know where the ifi-stream app has gone for android? Can't find in Google Play, QR code has an error and the download from the ifi site is a zip file and so not very useful.
It's been gone from the Google store for a while now, just download it from our site to your device, unzip, and install the APK file.

Should work fine as it did.

Cheers!!

I bought the IFI Stream after much thought and reading various reviews of other devices as well. I also took the price into consideration. I finally pulled the trigger. It took me a long time to get the hang of it. The device was practically non-functional. It was not possible to update the firmware. I finally succeeded. The mistake was that I was doing it slowly and the mobile connection timed out. Now I have the current software 2.31.7 Everything works reliably and quickly. Without cutting the music. Tadal, ifi app... The sound is perfect. I tried usb connection with Pegasus r2r dac. I was satisfied. The sound was balanced throughout. Before: Phone - usb - dac sound was strange. There was also little bass. I then connected the ifi stream to the pegasus via coax spdif. There is a distinct difference. Not like night and day, but it is. It's cleaner, calmer, more analog. I tried powering with the included cheap 12V/1A mains adapter and a 12V car battery. I can hardly hear any difference there. I have the quality on Flac and Max. MQA OFF. I didn't expect such sound quality. From now on I have no reason to use cd transport. No difference. For now, I play saved files through the ifi app. Now I will test the effect of the filter on the supplied network adapter. Or I will buy ifi power. So I'm satisfied, I enjoy the beautiful sound. It was worth the 1 day hassle.

We are glad to hear that! It is a wonderful device for its purpose, sound being the most important!

Sorry you had some setup issues,. some don't it does vary but in the end, it's all about the music. Very soon we will release the firmware to play Tidal Max with No more MQA, unless of course, the album is only MQA then our Zen Stream will do that as well.

If you have a moment check out this thread which was started by me before I started working for iFi, it may be helpful to see things others have gone thru and some tips to help you out!

I also ask how the left button should work correctly? When I connect the 12V power supply and then press the button, the ifi turns on and everything works as it should. When I press it after several hours of operation, ifi does not turn off. Even if I hold it longer. When I press the right button, the lights turn off. It is OK.

Yes, it is fine.

This was done as I remember to avoid accidental shutdowns, so a brief hold prevents this, all good!
