I never turn my Stream off so it is always ready to go, just like my Roon ROCK. Running great for 18 months now.

Hi sabloke,
Yes, I won't power off but wondering why I can't go back into app to make some changes and check to make sure I'm on LAN.

Update: I deleted app and use a different phone re-installed app got in finally and made my name change and confirmed I am on ethernet connection.
Get Roon, the Stream is simply made for it. Solid as a rock on it.

5ghz sounds 30% better. I gave the 5ghz a different wifi name VA 2ghz.Is there any hidden option to make Zen Stream connect only to the faster 5Ghz Wifi besides just disabling the 2.4Ghz on the router?

Roon SQ sucks. Just stick to tidal connect.Get Roon, the Stream is simply made for it. Solid as a rock on it.
I'm also using wired connection! I got the white light fast connection. I can see why people see the app is buggy but I only use Spotify and Tidal and for this price and sound quality ( some have said Lumin U2 mini league) I am keeping it!
Nope, it is not Roon that sucks. Tidal is the source of all evil and audio gremlins. So much happier with Qobuz for over a year now.Roon SQ sucks. Just stick to tidal connect.

Qobuz streams music louder than any other services so you have been fooled thinking it's better when it's just louder.
This Zen is giant killer. I haven't read any reviews but instantly I can tell it's more continuous like real music. Less chopped up sound. It destroys the Node on this one aspect alone!

I came to the same conclusion when I stuck the Zen in my speaker system, and compared it the Node that lives there. Played them both through the same Schiit Bifrost 2, and found the Zen to be much more involving to listen to. I do like the Bluos control system on the Node, and so do other family members, so the Node is staying. Zen lives in the headphone system, where it sounds great.
Great story Mike! I keep my Node as back up!

I searched the thread but couldn’t find it. Does the iFi Zen Stream support ALAC over DLNA?

I use Audirvana to stream local music from a Mac Mini to my ZS, and all my files are ALAC. Hope this helps.I searched the thread but couldn’t find it. Does the iFi Zen Stream support ALAC over DLNA?
is it true that only the coax output of the ifi zen stream is of good quality, and the usb is of poorer quality?
