Outstanding that the MQA issue has been addressed. For those who tried the beta firmware, do you guys have any issue with Spotify? I didn't bother to update on the last firmware since I don't need Tidal / MQA but I do use Spotify (*which is broken on last update but fine on older firmware).

Installed 2.30.1.
iFi Zen Stream (as well as my Volumio Raspberry Pi) took some efforts (spotify app force stop and clear data, restarts) to be shown as selectsble audio output options in the Spotify app.
Since it happened for both my Volumio applications, I am not sure if the issue resides on the Spotify or the Volumio side.

Two questions:

(1) If I only use music files on a usb drive attached to the Zen Stream and start playing an album or playlist, when I disconnect the network, will the music continue until the playlist is finished?

(2) Will I be able to access the usb drive attached to the Zen Stream from another computer using samba? (This of course when the network is connected.)

So, as you now know, we are working closely with MQA to add this function back into the ZEN Stream.

And we are going to go one step further by adding a dedicated setting to the ZEN Stream to give you the freedom to choose whether the ZEN Stream performs the first unfold or not. You will be able to choose between Auto, On or Off.

Well done @iFi audio , for listening to those of us that spoke out about this and making an improvement to the product, for those of us that want to use the Tidal Connect feature of Zen Stream with a non-MQA DAC and who want this 1st unfold performed (since the Tidal apps cannot do this with Tidal Connect).

No need for Roon or Audirvana for this now.

Just Tidal app -> Tidal Connect -> Zen Stream 1st unfold -> non-MQA DAC or MQA renderer

This is the only USB output Tidal Connect + MQA Core decoder on the market I believe.

Got the zs today.
qq: I have installed the beta. Mqa 1st unfold works like charm. I’m connecting to my hegel h95 via usb, is there a way to make the ifi adjust hegel’s volume?
In volume control dropdown I only see: sw or none, I assume hw would be the right option.

Iphone 13+tidal connect-Zenstream-viablue usb cable-hegel h95 - audiovector qr3 speakers.
The mixer type only comes up as None
