This is already your 3rd Zen Stream that has problem. The chance of 3 different ZS each comes with a defected power supply and all received by you (which at least one of them, as I recalled, has been checked by the seller and confirmed to be in working condition at some point?) is slim to none. So if it is indeed some thing related to power, logic would suggest it is more likely the power line on your location that could be the issue rather than your infinitely bad luck that always receive new ZS with bad power adapter. In that case, trying to buy a LPS will NOT solve anything. What you need is a certified electrician to check the power line in your house (hotel?) with a good multimeter, then (s)he can also check the DC power coming out of the adapter to double verify that it is on working condition. If the power line in the house as well as from the adapter are both good, then problem is somewhere else and not from the power supply section of ZS. That's how you diagnose electrical issue - by testing and eliminating possible culprit one by one logically. What you are trying to do here is no different from throwing money in the dark and just hoping to eventually hit something.

well a good LPS should have the capacitance to regulate the outputted DC and thus be more stable. or perhaps a PS Audio something? why would everything else that i use like MacBooks, Hard Drives, DAC not suffer from the same problem? yes i asked the salesman to check the iPower with multimeter before he shipped. it was the same iPower that i had used with the second unit.
Fine, I won't bother stopping you with reason. It is your money anyway. Just don't cry foul if the new LPS doesn't do anything or how you wasted your own money.
p/s: in fact, allow me to tell you the DC barrel size of ZS power supply: 5.5mm x 2.1mm, the most common type of DC plug.

i will have an electrician come out and check the outlet. can he test for voltage fluxations? i will also have the iPower re-checked at a computer store. i was told by TREO that it was not defective when the tested it. i am using a Clef power strip on all my gear btw. would a power conditioner help? thanksFine, I won't bother stopping you with reason. Depends on the complexity, some voltage fluctuations can be detected by a good multimeter, but most can be fixed by using an AVR (automatic voltage regulator, which is an very inexpensive equipment that can be found on most PC store).

Since I purchased my zen stream and added a power elite things are working good for now.
But where is the promised roon ready, on the site says coming soon, how soon?
The tested certification Is not what I wanted when I purchased it.

Hi everyone, I would like to ask is it possible to connect Zen Stream directly to PC by USB cable?

No. Zen Stream, technically speaking, is an miniature PC running on custom OS. There will be no point on connecting two PC together for streaming or audio purpose.Hi everyone, I would like to ask is it possible to connect Zen Stream directly to PC by USB cable?

I noticed a substantial improvement just with the 15v iPower X and the only thing I can imagine the elite adding is more amperage. The unit has its own power conditioning built in, so I agree with you that the extra dough would likely be overkill.i wanted to upgrade to the power Elite, but TREO said it was overkill
