Anyone else dealing with Tidal MQA cutting off at the beginning of tracks? it’s so annoying when playing gapless albums. I am on 5.3C firmware and can replicate it with either Mac OS, iPad or iPhone.

Got my unit delivered today and got the same issue with MQA cutting off at the beginning. That's both playing an individual track or anything gapless like yourself. That happened on both the firmware from out the box and on the 5.3c update. I can deal with it but it's annoying when I'm expecting a seamless transition and it's slightly jarring.
On the off chance it was a headphone issue, I swapped to my X2's from the HE-400i 2020 but issue persisted. Not that I expected different results mind. This on my desktop though, not yet tried on my iPhone but I'd expect to get the same result as yourself.
I have just received my unit today.
It's all connected and working with MQA on tidal desktop app.
Why is it chopping off the beginning of every MQA track I listen too?
Its like a gap at the start of everything

I'm going to take a look at these "cutting off" issue today and report back if I can same day. I do remember this happening "If" I remember correctly it was on format changes.
For Instance 1st song is 96 next song is 192, I think that's when it occurs.
Also I believe this only applies to MQA and not to High rez sources, Tidal vs. Qobuz as an example.
I do not remember it being an issue with gapless albums, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd as an example. If someone would like to tell me what your using for playback and source where the issue occurs consistently I will try to check it if possible.
Be aware I believe this also occurs with my SMSL M500, Only on MQA and a considerably higher priced DAC.

Hey Gary, in regards to the PC are you using the Tidal App or something else, Just making sure your not using Roon or Audirvana. I am a Roon convert so that's why I'm asking I wanna duplicate as closely as possible.
Just to be clear for any one else posting setup, I'm a Mac user and don't think I ever used my phone for any streaming besides Spotify connect or Roon remote, lol...

oh Trust me I'm not saying you guys are wrong, I'm just trying to go back and see for myself what's happening. Also to refresh my memory, although this is sort of reminding me this issue may have been why I switched to Qobuz, I only recently started my Tidal script back up as I needed it for testing of some dac's.
