I wouldn't worry about that :)
I just tried it , but still analog volume control , true bass and powermatch doesnt work , i do have to control the volume from foobar2000
i dont know if my method is right or not
First the speakers still connected to zen(balanced line out) , i turned off my speakers (cable still connected) then i plug the headphone to balanced headphone out.

If your line out is fixed, some functions are bypassed. But let's start from the beginning: your speakers don't have their own volume control, right?

the speakers(yamaha hs5) has its own volume control at rear (i always raise the volume at 7oclock if i dont lower the volume from foobar it will be too loud at least i need -10dB for comfortable listening) , i never switch zen to fixed always been in variable mode since i first bought , should i switch to fixed? Mostly i using balanced output my speakers using dual xlr to 4.4 and my headphone using 4.4 balanced cable so i thought variable more suitable for balanced (cmiiw idk im right or not i just read the manual guide it has diff power output between fixed and variable)

The goal is to have only one volume control engaged in your audio setup, and to avoid digital volume regulation on top of that. Since your speakers have their own volume control, I'd use them with line output in your ZEN DAC set as fixed, which bypasses its own volume regulation. If I were you, I would:

1. connect ZEN DAC (in fixed mode) with your speakers
2. set Foobar's digital volume to max to avoid resolution loss
3. regulate volume on your speakers only (with everything else either bypassed or set to max as described in points 1 and 2)

is there any debenefit performance between fixed and variable? I saw in the manual guide it has different line power output

I'll try it the day after tomorrow, Im on my work trip today so maybe a few days later I'll try it again..hope it works

Hi! I purchase a ZEN DAC and it's very very good! But I'm experiencing some issues with MQA. With my ZEN DAC I have a problem with MQA trought streaming in Tidal app (win10). Only with MQA and only if I set the USB streaming to minimun latency or low latency (USB buffer ASIO auto), the music breaks at times. The ZEN DAC, connected with USB 3.0, is alimented with 5v IFI power and I have installed the latest 3.20 drivers. My operating system is win10 updated to the latest version 2004, 8gb ram, i5 processor, with fiber connection 200mb. What could I do? Thanks a lot

set it to Safe or Reliable perhabs.I think the latency doesnt affect much

It's related to functionality, not performance. The fixed setting means that internal volume control is bypassed, whereas the variable setting has it engaged. Your choice whether you should use volume control or not should thus depend on whether you need it in your setup.

I've mailed the support trought site, open a ticket, but they didn't reply

They usually reply within 48 hours, aside weekends of course. When your ticket was opened? And if this happened days ago, can you please send it over via PM? I'll check what's up.
