Anyone running HD820s w/ this combo? Just got a used pair and playing w/ settings...I'm especially curious which boost setting you prefer. 6dB seems to work fine, but I have tried 12dB too. Both channels don't seem to kick in until between 8 & 9, and the more powerful 16dB is just too loud for me.

the HD6XX does have a little impact, a bit brighter for me.

Running the 4.4mm balanced, BTW....
I am saving my penny to get a used HD820 too!!!!
How do you like it the the Zen dac amp? Have you try it with other amp?

After a 1 day, I do like it...I have seen several reviews that bemoan its lack of mid, but I'm not really 'hearing' that...so far. This is the only amp I own (aside from the hip-DAC) so can't help there, I'm afraid.

You betcha, our Signature range was planned to go beyond Drop at some point :)

You can use ZEN DAC Signature also as a preamplifier for regular stereo power amps/monos, which is useful. But if in time one likes to expand and grab ZEN CAN Signature for headphones, then ZEN DAC Signature's volume knob can be bypassed.

Is this DAC currently available anywhere in the US? I haven't been able to find it.

It isn't out yet! Check back early this coming month.

Great! I just ordered mine. A brief question. I will then have the DAC signature which is coming with the iPowerX, and I allready have the "ordinary" CAN with
the cheaper iPower (and XBass/3D :) ). So is it best to run the DAC with the iPowerX and the Can with the iPower, or the other way around? I mean I will test it once I have
all of them here, but maybe you have tested that allready?

It said so on the webpage where i ordered it and there is unboxing video which also shows it comes with it. But perhaps only for a limited time?

Let me double-check at our HQ whether the Signature range sells with iPower X and I'll get back to you shortly. I know that devices meant for Drop were.

Quick question. Why would it make sense for anybody, especially for people who already have the DAC/CAN models, pay an extra 250 $ for the Signature editions ? That's 63 % more than the normal ones. Are the normal ones of lower quality build ? Are they more likely to break in time ? Specs are the same, buttons have a different name but they apply the same EQ... I'm finding it hard to justify the extra cost for what ? Different color scheme ? You can squeeze in a pair of great headphones for that money and buy the normal edition ones. The classic Zen DAC even has it's own amp built in...
Don't get me wrong. I own the original ones from Ifi and I love them but this is just... I don't know...
