For detail and clarity, the Audio-Technica MSR7b. Simply relaxing, Sony MDR-Z7M2. More aggressive sound, beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro.

Really depends the type of music you listen to and what kind of sound signature you enjoy.
What are your thoughts on the Master and Dynamics headphones. They are beautiful, for sure, but haven't read many good reviews.

They are the epitome of seduction. I'd be lying if I said I'm not swayed by the materials and smell of the darn things.

That being said, they are not game changers. Both the MW60 (wireless) and MH40 (wired) are warm headphones with average imaging & layering, while there's not much space (soundstage). That being said, they are a fun headphone with strong bass and rolled off highs, conducive for extended sessions without fatiguing treble. That being said, Master & Dynamic's Alcantara earpads (for the MH40, pads are not compatible between the MW60 & MH40) will improve imaging & soundstage and a bit better top end extension/detail.

Overall, both the MW60 and MH40 are better described as "fun", which I very much feel they are, and have provided me with many enjoyable hours of non-critical listening.

My Meze 99 Classic is my current "fun" headphone. Audioquest Nightowl and Nighthawk are my go-to headphones, and My Solaris and my LCDi4 are my regular use. I always loved the look , but don't have much need for a "portable" headphone exactly. I love the look though and at their current price I'm tempted, just a little. For wireless, APTX is a non starter, though.

Sounds like stuff not targeted for critical listening, at least not in the first place, but focused on music served enjoyably. To me Meze is such a product.

Also, something to cheer us all up in this gloomy pandemic time :p

Absolutely. What most don't realize is that the XDSD does APTX Low latency, you just need a device that transmits it. I bought a dongle on Amazon for $30, so I use the XDSD in Bluetooth mode for video, and gaming now.

They definitely should advertise this more instead of just aptX.

I just bought one and i like it very much so far. I just have one question is it possible to change new battery to it somewhere in future and can you use it as a desktop amp as well with wire connected to pc?

The product was designed to work with a battery, so this won't change. However, if a battery will develop a fault, we'll help you out!

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Appreciate your tips. Might test drive the Audio-Technica's.
