Nice! I wish more retailers would advertise this.

This one?
No sorry, actually my question is for the one I posted. This one:
I simply cannot get it to work to see Magenta light for MQA in my Huawei Mate 20 Pro as on the video with just Android and Tidal. What is missing? I have succeeded using the third party app UAPP, but on the video is not used, so what is missing?

I don’t know if this will address your issue, but if you have updated the firmware on your xDSD to the latest version, the light indicating sampling frequency will always be yellow since all files are upsampled. If you go back one version, then the magenta light turns on with MQA files.

Even the GTO firmware goes magenta with MQA.
I have my AK240SS connected to the xDSD via the USB input, and when I play an MQA file the sampling light is yellow. I tried several of my MQA files. I recall on the firmware installed at time of purchase that the magenta light did work. When I updated the firmware to the current version and read about the GTO filter, I assumed the new filter was responsible.
My xDSD is two months old.

As for the video, I suspect it is cheated unless @iFi audio confirms otherwise.

You're not seeing magenta LED due to what's coming out of your phone. Our GTO filter doesn't influence MQA as it can't. As a manufacturer we can't manipulate MQA in any way inside our hardware as this defeats the purpose of MQA.

Thank you for your reply. So, I’m not using a phone, but a $3,000 dap as a transport connected to my xDSD via USB. As mentioned before, when I first got the xDSD a couple months ago, it had not been updated to the GTO firmware. When I played MQA files then, the magenta light worked. Now with the GTO firmware installed, with the identical setup so the only change is the firmware, I get yellow with MQA as well as everything else.
I know. Maybe is asking too much as it's not an issue of the xDSD. But anyway, the video shows it's possible but not how to achieve it 100% as the steps on the video are not enough. I have the same phone used on the video. I remember you told you was going to ask to the iFi team that did the video but nothing has come out as a proper answer.
