Yeah I was hoping to connect a Nintendo switch‘s 3.5mm out to the xcan’s 3.5mm line input

From what I can tell, this console's 3.5mm is a regular headphone out and not line out, but you should have no issues in connecting it with xCAN's 3.5mm line input regardless.

As long as it has a lineout option with 4V or so output.

xCAN's 2.5mm input will work with whatever it gets, so it should work, but from what I can tell iBasso DX220 has a line out.

Wouldn't say bright but hard to make any sort of judgement over Bluetooth.
Sound is about on par to the radio in a car.

I wouldn't say that our DAC implementation is bright in the sense that its airy and sharp.
