iFi audio iDSD Signature - The saga continues!

So, I got a BC3 and am trying to connect it to the Signature using an optical cable. The BC3 seems to be receiving audio through BT and it looks like its outputting via the line out (as I can see the red light at the tip of the cable (never used optical before, so pls bear with me). My signature doesn't appear to be picking up the signal. I'm on firmware 5.2b. Is there something I'm suppose to be doing to get the Signature to switch from USB to spdif input? (No USB cables plugged in to the signature of course). Any suggestions please?
Signature should automatically start playing via Optical when no USB Input is detected. You are using an Optical cable that's terminated in 3.5 Male Optical on both sides right?

Assuming the cable works fine (did you test it with some other device?) and if you are using a Toshlink Male to 3.5 Male Adapter for compatibility, the adapter may be the issue. I had a similar situation where the signal (red light) was being transmitted but the device (not Signature) was not dettecting the signal. Replacing said Adapter fixed it for me.

Thanks - the problem was caused by an adapter I was using. Ditched it and now it works.

What kind of power and iEMatch settings you guys use when trying IEMs such as Moondrop Aria and Tanchjim Tanya?

Possibly eco settings with either ultra or high sensitivity on

I'm using Aria at Eco mode without IEMatch, don't notice any channel imbalance on my unit after 11 O' Clock position. I tried high sensitivity IEMatch setting, noticed a small change in sound, not good or bad just different and very small change, turned off IEMatch cause I didn't feel the need for it.

Hey everybody, do you signature get really hot after 1 hour listening? I run turbo mode for my low sensitive headphone in my case, not listening while charging of course.

What are you using headphones-wise? Does it do it in normal and eco?

Does using a 4.4 to 2.5 adapter influence audio quality much (eg. cayin)?

If you are using something like this it should not matter, but if you are using an adapter with a Cable then it might effect sound quality (because of wire quality).

Yup! What @Johnfg465vd said is correct!
