iFi audio iDSD Diablo - A portable reference done our way!

Burn in? What should burn in here? There are no dynamic parts in the Diablo
That's what iFi Audio recommended to me when I talked to them. Not sure if they used the term burn in.

Any how, day 1 impressions is that Diablo provides a cleaner thumper sound and can handle harsher recordings better when compared to Signature.

burn-in happens in your head, not in the device

I just searched it and picked a thread that ifi commented on

Got ya. Thanks!

On a random tangent but if the DAP comes to materialize or they’re considering a change (Mr. Loesch has moved on but left us the Zen series as a farewell) I’d like iFi to consider making mini/desktop racks.

The look of their Pro Rack is pretty neat and I imagine they could offer nice aesthetic options for smaller than standard rack components sizes. (Not exclusive to their offerings)

It seems like an affordable desktop rack is something missing from the market and I’ve read a few posts here and there looking to purchase one.

It’s not fair that only 2 channel rigs have those cool looking racks that also help with ventilation.

Today is May 15. Any news?
From what I'd seen, there is no new DAP, unfortunately.

What will be coming soon is partnering with a well-known company to create a Hi-Fi music player app for smartphones. As iFi has released a lot of portable DAC/amps, an app makes more sense, according to them.

I want to thank @iFi audio for their support. I had my unit replaced because of the LED thing, and they've been very helpful from beginning to end. Now happily listening and already tested, everything works great!
Where do you live CH23?
Unfortunately, Parcel Delivery Service that iFi chose to collect my device has just contacted me with the information that asi I live in European Union and the UK is brexited, they can only send the device to Manufacturer as direct export and can bring the new device to me only if I pay import fees and VAT. I have asked them to get my old device back to me and trying to contact ifi support asking them to suggest some working solution, maybe collect the device within EU...?

I live in the Netherlands. Shipped my old Diablo to WifiMedia, and got the new device back from iFi UK. I did have to pay a little over 40€ import tax.
