Even when BTCC just changes sample rate (with the same codec), Go pod treats it as a new connection. That could explain the voice announcement when you start track playback.Thank you for your replies!
I think I might have resolved the issue by completely uninstalling Bluetooth Codec Changer from my phone and restarting. I am testing since this morning and my GO Pod works flawlessly. I will keep testing the entire day, today and update my ticket as Solved, accordingly.
A couple of months ago, I've played a bit with the Ultra Advanced settings in BTCC and it worked. After getting my Creative BT-W6 recently, I've paired them just to test. Something happened since then.
So far, it is working again. I will install the BTCC again tomorrow but I will leave it at its default configuration.

Is Creative BT-W4 enough for Go Pods? Or is Creative BT-W5 (or W6) better in some way for pairing with Go Pods? It seems that Go Pods only utilize BT 5.2, not the 5.3, right?

After updating FW to 1.59 I've got issues with Bluetooth pairing (both Android and BT-W4) when trying to switch devices they've been connected to. Had to flash back 1.54 to repair with PC.

Sorry you are having some issues with your GO Pods, on that front and on the creative question I would reach out to our support folks by submitting a ticket here, they are very helpful with tech questions and also can advise on your issue with the update. After updating FW to 1.59 I've got issues with Bluetooth pairing (both Android and BT-W4) when trying to switch devices they've been connected to. Ok, sure, will do. Another thing worth mentioning. Despite the case is huge, it does not fit my custom iems
Since the case is almost not mobile, rather stationary, maybe it worth making it even bigger (deeper).

Another reason why I haven't bought the ifi go pods... Doubt they can fit my CIEMs. I don't get why they don't just enlarge the size of the case when its already basically not very portable anyways.
I recently heard about the GO Pod and thought the idea was really good. A way to listen to my IEMs without being wired. I came on here and read through the entire thread to get people’s thoughts before I decided to buy.
There appears to be a few problems though and I’m not going to buy it as things stand. I really hope all the issues get sorted out for you guys as I still think this is a great idea.

I have to say, the quality of the sound and overall experience is positive. Even though CIEMs won't fully fit in the case, I use it as an on-desk charging base. (It would be nice to transport it fully closed though). Once rolled back to 1.54 pairing issues got solved for me. Enjoying the wireless with both games (AptX adaptive gives nice latency) and LDAC with Android. AAC on iPhone sounds fairly well too. Not using the CIEMs at all because of the freaking wire is worse.

So far my experience has been only positive with the iFi Audio Go Pods. I've also used the in conjunction with FiiO BT11 on Apple devices in order to get LDAC - no problems with this combo as well. Yes, the case is rather large, I don't have CIEM only IEMs and they all have fitted well within (Shock, ISN80, EW300). I also fit in the case the FiiO BT11 dongleI recently heard about the GO Pod and thought the idea was really good. A way to listen to my IEMs without being wired. I am more than a little amused reading complaints that the case is not large enough for some users. I completely believe this, and sympathize, so please don’t take this the wrong way, but given the many, many, many posts complaining early on that the case was too large, well, this reminds me of the old expression - “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time.”

I figured out the way to fit CIEMs in the box, I have to detach them from Go Pods completely, and just throw them in the compartment. Not ideal, but at least works for carrying them on trips.

The issue of the case not accommodating some IEMs has been heard by the Team and is currently under investigation (actually has been for a while). I think it's fair to say all companies must take their best shot at a new product and then streamline or advance it in future iterations...

Thanks for all the thoughts!
Cheers!!

Literally just make the case slightly deeper/larger. It's basically transportable at this point
