The latest firmware, V1.59, has greatly enhanced my GO Pod experience.

With this update, the connection stability has significantly improved, allowing me to listen to LDAC 990/909kbps fixed (via the Bluetooth Codec Changer) throughout my entire property. I can leave my Samsung S23 Ultra downstairs in my home office and go upstairs to the bathroom at the back of the property without experiencing any dropouts. Even if one Pod momentarily loses connection, it quickly regains it with a slight movement. On a couple of occasions, one of the Pods stopped playing, but I was able to fix it immediately by pausing playback using the button on the Pod and then resuming; both Pods started playing again.

Before this update, I had to carry my phone into every room, despite generally having good coverage in my house, just to ensure that one Pod wouldn’t drop the connection.

Thank you, @iFi audio 👏🙂

Thank you for supporting us!

We are glad that improvements continue to come out, helping folks that were having issues have a better overall experience with the GO Pods.

Could someone please remind the steps after a successful firmware update? Is it simply put it back to the case, perform a factory reset using Gaiia, there are other intermediate steps? Advance thanks!
Go to ifi's hub, drop down box go pods (all), enter number on back of storage case. CLICK firmware tab (that got me), download. Open GAIA app link pods, go to settings, update, the updated file must be in box below update file... (this is all from memory). Click update.

Thanks for the reminder. For some reason I thought that the go pod needs to be reset to factory default, remove, unpair/ repair…etc.

Do the latest firmware versions allow us to turn off the auto shutdown after 10 mins of no data stream?

Hello, I am a French user. I bought a second-hand ifi go pod setup but I have two problems. The LEDs on the case do not light up when it is open, however they light up when I open it halfway, then they turn off when I open it wide, but my biggest problem comes from crackling sounds that occur randomly in the right pod. I use a pixel 8 pro. I have tried a lot of settings on gaia and in the developer option settings but nothing changes. It spoils the fun. The previous owner acquired them in March 2024 from the French brand cobrason.com I sent them an email, I also opened an incident ticket with ifi. I am waiting for a response but I am making this post to find out if other users have had this problem and if there is a solution. If anyone from Ifi is reading this and can help me, thank you in advance. 🙏

Problem solved

Recently, I have been experiencing issues with my GO Pod which I pair with my Samsung S23 Ultra.

Specifically, after pairing and starting to play music, it intermittently stops, and a voice announces "LDAC" before the music resumes. Occasionally, the music does not play at all, resulting in no sound. This issue occurs with YouTube Premium, Qobuz, and Amazon Music Unlimited.

I have performed a factory reset without success. Today, I also reset the Network and Bluetooth settings on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, but the problem persists.

Additionally, I am using the paid version of Bluetooth Codec Changer, which automatically sets LDAC at 990/909Kbps. I have been using this app for a long time without ever encountering any issues.

Anyone else with similar experience?
Any advise, please, on what steps I should take next?

I have already opened a ticket.

Thank you

Do you by any chance have adaptive sampling enabled in BTCC?

Unless someone here has encountered this and knows the solution, probably best to let the Tech support folks guide you along here.

You know an awful lot about the pods through your experiences so best to let them handle it, keep us updated here as to possible solutions so others may benefit from your knowledge.

Cheers!!

Thank you for your replies! :)

I think I might have resolved the issue by completely uninstalling Bluetooth Codec Changer from my phone and restarting. I am testing since this morning and my GO Pod works flawlessly. I will keep testing the entire day, today and update my ticket as Solved, accordingly.

A couple of months ago, I've played a bit with the Ultra Advanced settings in BTCC and it worked. After getting my Creative BT-W6 recently, I've paired them just to test. Something happened since then.

So far, it is working again. I will install the BTCC again tomorrow but I will leave it at its default configuration.
