I was thinking that if you'd sell a USB cable that was just as well built but not as expensive as the ones you have now, I'd love to buy a few Just some ordinary top noch USB cables that aren't just Audiophile level.

Although I understant your need, we don't have any specific plans that would include more affordable USB cables. But who knows? Perhaps one day we will? Time will tell

Will it degrade the internals of the cable if I use it for my HDD as well from time to time or is it thought out for music playback only?

Do you mean our OTG cable? If so, it was designed to push data from one device to another, so you can use your HDD with it without a problem, thanks!
