Mine just arrived from Adorama. Sound AMAZING. Feel like... well, what's funnier:

- A Covid test for the ears
- Richard Pryor when he had that monkey that kept screwing his ear

Either way, I'm looking forward to extensively A/B testing them against my Andromedas.
Great to hear. Let us know your thoughts about the compare.

Early impressions are that these would be by far and away my favorite earphones if I didn't have the Andromedas. Andromedas are more detailed and have a better soundstage and separation. But damn. These come close, and for $160 instead of over $1k that's kind of absurd.

I'm not sure how long it takes to get used to the fit, though. I could see it being a problem that grows.

Bass really does dig down deep. Cellos on Penny Lane are gorgeous, with a serious timbre to them. Gonna have to listen to The Boxer; I'm dying to see what a bass harmonica sounds like through these.

Edit: It sounds stellar, but I'm more taken by the kick drum in the right ear (bass harmonica is coming from my left)

I used to own the OG andromeda some 3 years ago iirc and they definitely have some extra layered high frequency glare if I am to describe it. Unfortunately, the fit on my left ear just didn't do it for me so I sold them and moved on.

I find the Andromedas are tuned just right for my tastes (which are nascent). I like that subtle hint of brightness, and the bass is nicely present and extremely detailed. Mine are the 2019 version.

You have a lot of options for fit. These below feel like an ear massage and also isolate well, I'd strongly suggest trying them.

4.4mm (Pentaconn) balanced cable for ER4SR?
Hello. My newest DAP now offers the larger balanced jack. I'd appreciate any and all recommendations for a good quality cable. Browsing online I see lots of options on Lunashops and Aliexpress-at various price ranges. Please feel free to share your experiences with aftermarket cables for the SRs using the larger plug. Thanks!

act quick. $155.91
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GW785KQ?th=1&psc=1

After reading about the Adorama deal maybe these are clearing out for ER5???
I hope that whatever they come out with next, the frequency matching graph will extend into the bass frequencies.... Trying to ignore how the bass is stronger from one of the drivers is really ruining the listening experience for me

for those who have ordered from adorama, what version of packaging do the etys come with? I read somewhere that there was a newer version.
