Hi forum,

I'm in the market for some IEMs and figured this would be the place to start. It's been a while since I used IEMs, as I've been using my Senn HD 25-1ii closed earphones for ages. I do like the neutral sound, though maybe they could be a tad warmer and have a tiny bit more bass. So, any one have any killer recommendations?

My budget is around €200 / $250. I'll use them in my iPhone 5 and plan on getting a new DAP next year (think Pono, Sony A15, Fiio x5, not AK). Comfort, build quality and durability are important to me. Aesthetics a bit less so.

I've been reading up on the IE80 which appeals and if I didn't know headfi is probably what I would buy. Thanks in advance for your input.

DN-2000 with DX90. 
 
Sounds somewhat similar but better IMO.

Thanks for the response Lin0003, I took a look at the DN-2000 and although the sound signature sounds like my thing, I am worried about how sturdy they are. From what I have seen and read the cable is pretty flimsy. I've had issues with less high end Chinese iems, where the SQ is good but where the build quality fails after less than a year. I wish that these manufacturers would pay greater attention to this.

I don't think I have heard any cases of this on the 2K, only the 1K.
