Yeah, crimped as in flattened, but only a tiny bit near the end. I'm not sure it would be enough to ruin the cable, but I'd need a new TF10 to test that out. It would certainly be harder to insert. I agree, it's a bad idea all around. So let's just say this:

IF YOU'RE GETTING THE FISHER CUSTOMS, DON'T USE THE OLD TF10 CABLE.

Long thread. occasionally poor signal / noise ratio

Yay!

And since I'm too lazy to read through 92 pages, I have a few more questions.

1. The price is still $80, right?
2. What's a good cable to use? The cheaper (price-wise) the better.
3. How do we start the process? (Email? Phone call? Telepathic communication?)
4. About how much are impressions at a local audiologist?
5. I'm still relatively young (16 and a half). Are customs suited to me? In other words, if my ears are still growing, won't the impression be useless in a few years (and therefore the earphones)?

Thanks,
Leon

The LiveWires cable uses different connectors so it won't work.

Just go with their own cable, only 20$ and you don't have to pay additional shipping.

That sounds great! Any different "models" and/or colors?

Also, any pictures?

According to Kaysen, the clear wires have the most stiffness. I would not suggest getting the clear as I found them very hard to work with, even after the hair dryer hack.

He did his double bore and I did mine single bore with the original filter. He posted impressions somwhere here. I like the single bore, sounds just like they did before I sent them off. I have to admit I am curious about the difference.
