music most frequently listened: classical/newage piano/instrumentals, jazz, underground hiphop, and current popular songs.
USE: listen to good quality music with good isolation. also, I need it for class (block out the lecturer so I can actually be productive).
priority-wise: sound quality, isolation, durability (in that order).
I have $200 TOTAL to spend. That is my cap, no more than 200$. I would prefer it to be less. AMP cost included (if required).
I looked at some reviews (the 114 IEM review thread). The ER-4S looked very tempting, but I do not have the resources to get an AMP along with it. The RE0 looked like a good alternative, but I fear that it would be a little on the fragile side. I tend to be a bit abrasive with headphones.
Any suggestions/alternatives would be greatly appreciated!
