This is pretty damn cool. I just got finished listening to the whole album and it really has a great spacious mix, where all of the instruments are crystal clear.

To all parties involved, thanks for the great gift. I would certainly purchase in native DSD.

As for David, himself, he's like if Neil Young had a son and named the boy "Petty". I mean that in the highest way possible, too. David Elias is not derivative; it's only that you can feel those roots like you can hear Howling Wolf in Hendrix.

Just a quick update, it took a lot longer to get to the level I wanted to be at to make my submission. I'm a little over half way through the line work so far, just got to finish that up and add some color. Here is a quick look at it so far, props if you can guess what the text will be:

 
 
I should be able to get this finished before the 31st. Be warned that I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so it may be very close to that mark before it gets finished.

It's all in good fun! Plus, I value the experience I'm getting in the process of making my entry more than the prize (as amazing as it would be!) If my entry motivates others to try to trump me, I think there will be value in the experience they gain as well. So why not? :)
 
Great review, sounds like they might make a good counterpart to my bass focused TH-X00s. I also just noticed that those Meze 99s are only 32 ohms, which struck me as odd since IFI is pairing such a high output amp with it. I guess that might just speak to how refined the low gain setting on this new amp will be though.
