How well do these scale with a tube amp? I'm using it with the mojo2 and whilst I'm really happy with the sound, I've some spare cash and curious adding a tube amp to th mix.

They are excellent with tube amps. They are easy to drive so a tube amp has no problem with them and they really flesh out the sound of a good amp.

I've been away from my SR2 and SR3 for three whole months! Oh, how I missed these pillows on my head. I will never become tired of these two headphones. Never!
They allow me to enjoy music. That's what it's all about. I wrote all my thoughts in my reviews, but I thought I'd share this warm moment with everyone here.

Ive asked a question about adding a tube amp with the mojo2 as dac. I've had weird responses, I can already find a comfortable listening levels with the mojo2 and as the sr3's are easy to drive an amp won't add much to the sound?

Of course, an amp would add to the listening experience. But since headphones are a one on one experience, it would be your experience whether you perceive this change to be positive positive or not. I don't find the Mojo as the most revealing device, but it is smooth and enjoyable. The SR3 are excellent with the PB5, the two cayin 2 tube amps that I have and other amplifiers. They reveal what each amp does with the music. The LTA amps are also excellent. If you are looking for a portable amp solution the PB5 can't be beat, IMO and the D16 is one of the best DACs I have ever heard.

Listening to

Hires in qubuz.....ahhhhh so good.
These headphones can be very delicate for the mood, and bam some Helloween thrashing right after.
Chameleon cans they are.

I mostly use through the mojo2 at the moment and happy with the sound. They do however react quite well with pad swaps

I hate these headphones, because to consider a possible upgrade it's too expensive lol

A friend of mine replaced the HE1000se with the SR3.
He doesn't miss the HE1000se anymore...
Heh, I was looking into selling the sr3's and buying the he1k stealth. Gosh damn, what's it going to take up upgrade from these Ibasso cans. The stealth is a different model than the SE?
