This IEM was the one made me believe in IEM
Now I wonder how much better will the IT04 be?

The IT04 are better in every way. I've gone from breaking them in, to testing them, to using them non stop.

Can anyone here compare the IT01 to Trinity Icarus III, Vyrus, or the PMV A-01 Mk 2? The hype on this IEM is tempting and they look super ergonomic, but I'm not sure they offer anything over my current collection.

Just got the IT01. And apparently they need a fair amount of break in. The Icarus III seemed a bit more analytical to me; but I never fully warmed to them. The IT01 seem a bit easier to listen to; not quite as detailed though is my preliminary thought compared with the Icarus III.

I sold the Icarus in part to I could feel OK dropping out of the Trinity threads which were simply annoying to read after a while. But then again Trinity was in fact quite annoying to deal with.

It's there now. First forum that I've been on that doesn't add the pictures after you upload them.

I would have to reread the rules to be sure but I think if you don't have a certain number of posts the mods might have to review the upload first. I remember not being able to post a link at first. Maybe you have enough now.

It's funny that it says new, but I joined in 2015, lol. I guess I lurk to much

I can't find it right now but I think you are no longer new if you have 50 posts..

Meanwhile my it01 has been burning in for a whole week now... I will do it for 3 more days.

You mean to say, even out of curiosity, you haven't tried them at all?

Of course I have :) For me, the process just means that they stay hooked up to my desktop amp with music from my PC (foobar2000) running through it constantly. I am allowed to listen when I am sitting at my PC:) I have not tried them with any of my daps yet. I am looking forward to that. I do not normally use iems at my PC. If the doorbell were to ring I would probably forget and jump up with disastrous results.

Sadly when they arrived I had an earache that I got after getting over the flu. So I really did not try them at all last weekend. I only put them in long enough to set the volume on my amp. Midweek I listened to a few songs and again this morning. I have a few new toys that I have not been able to really play with yet. Sticking with headphones and buds at the moment.

When I burn-in full size headphones I listen to them a lot because its easy to put a headphone on and take it off.

You are right about iems and desktop amps and disaster. I am looking forward to your impressions once the burn in process is adequately dealt with. I have a feeling you will like the sound out of these it01s.
Did you get some new headphones?

No new headphones recently although I did make a couple of trades with my husband. In February I received a few inexpensive buds and iems... and a new little DAP... Hidizs AP60 MKII

This one will be my most expensive IEM by quite a bit. I will not want anymore IEMs.

Okay maybe not completely flat, but certainly fairly uniform. There's about 10db increase from 20 hz to 400 hz, a little dip to 1000 hz, and then a bump from 3k - 5k hz. These are definetely the flattest/most-uniform iems that i've owned.

And yeah the EDC's are known for being vshaped. In fact a lot of folks on massdrop hate them for the extra bass.

I've been wanting to try out some TFZ's and see what their soundstage is all about. I was thinking of the King, or maybe the king pro..

And damn for $5 bills, hmm i may just do the Brainwavz b400 for now. For that much Id rather get HE560's or hell even those focal's on massdrop. Still very tempting!

SciOC let me know whats up w/ that Hiby R6!!!
Waiting for it to ship still..... The wait is killing me, I've got all my balanced cables and am ready to roll. Right now my tfz king pro is out of commission, but they're lovely. I would say they are slightly better than the it01, but very similar overall. They kind of made other tfz's obsolete, although for 60 bucks on massdrop the exclusive 5 are a lot of fun (but unnecessary If you have the it01). I get my tfz tequila soon, so hopefully those are good to. I'm just waiting on the it04 to come out and I'll snap those up as quickly as possible and hopefully they'll make me wonder why I spent all this money on lower/mid tier IEMs.

how is subbas on the it01 .. does the ibasso it01 have a lot of subbas guys?

Subbass is it's strong suit. No roll off to 20 hz. It can tickle your ears with sub bass if you want.

I believe so. Back when I got them the brand name was known as Head-Direct. It has probably been almost 10 years since I bought those.

I have the Massdrop version of the Hifi-man RE0. To my ears, the Blue Ever Blue 1200 Ex is a logical improvement from the RE0 and seems tuned fairly similarly but a step up in SQ (and price). Another IEM that has amazing clarity, especially for the money, is the Alpha and Delta D6. The D6 is tuned slightly different from the RE0. The D6, with a proper seal, has better bass extension and significantly better soundstage than the RE0. I hope that helps.
